Frequently Asked Questions

  • Complete your TherapyNotes client portal through the welcome email! This email will provide you with a link to set up a free client account. Once you create your account, you will have access to documents for you to review and sign prior to our first session.

If you are hoping to use out of network benefits, check with your insurance provider to explore what your out of network benefits are so you can get reimbursed for therapy!

We will go over all of this in our phone consultation as well.

  • We will spend some time going over the forms you signed prior to the session. I will spend most of the session getting to know you at a pace that feels best for you by asking you questions to get a better understanding of your life journey. Together we will talk about goals and what you hope to get out of therapy. Please feel free to ask any questions during this process (and at any point in your therapeutic journey). I am here to support you and the growth you are hoping to experience.

  • I believe you are the expert in your own life. I will check in with you at the start of each session about your week and what you are needing out of therapy that day. I trust that you know what you need to focus on each week. I will meet you where you are at. You are the guide- I want to give you the opportunities to express your needs in a safe space and reclaim your autonomy. If you are unsure what to cover in therapy, I am here to help and will support you in discovering what may feel best for you.

  • The duration of treatment is different for everyone as it is based on individual needs and experiences. I cannot estimate how long we will be working together. I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Therefore, once you feel confident in your growth and are exploring the idea of ending therapy, we will talk about it and make the decision that is best for you.

  • For the first 8 sessions, I strongly recommend engaging in weekly sessions. This allows us the time and space to develop a strong therapeutic relationship. After this, I may recommend increasing or decreasing the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs. If you would like to change the frequency of your sessions, please let me know! I want this to work for you.

  • Many of the clients I work with come to therapy carrying the weight of complex trauma, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in old patterns they’re ready to shift. In these cases, 50-minute sessions can often feel rushed — we barely scratch the surface before it’s time to wrap up.

90-minute sessions give us more space to slow down, process deeply, and regulate together, especially when engaging in EMDR. This pacing supports nervous system safety, reduces the need to “slam on the brakes” mid-processing, and allows more time for grounding before you leave session. For many trauma survivors, this extended time typically feels more supportive, not more intense.

This structure allows us to go deeper without rushing, and to honor your healing process with the spaciousness it deserves.

  • At this time, I do not offer in person services. I provide virtual therapy.

  • $200 per 90 minute session
